Week Four Under House GOP = More ‘Trouble’ & Dysfunction

Remember when Republican Charlie Dent said the following:

Week one, we had a speaker election that did not go...well...Week two, we got into a big fight over deporting children...Week three, we are now talking about rape and incest and reportable rapes and incest for minors...I just can't wait for week four.

Week four is here.  And after distractingly blaming the weather for their internal dysfunction and obstruction, yesterday the House GOP leadership has decided to pull the radical and partisan border bill from the House Floor:

Facing a rebellion in their own ranks, House Republican leaders scrapped their plans to vote this week on their first border security bill of the new Congress, blaming the weather for the delay...It's the second bill in as many weeks that Republican leaders have had to pull after internal opposition.  Last week the GOP scrapped a bill to ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy…The border bill had to be pulled after conservatives objected…

House GOP leaders cancel vote on border security bill amid blizzard of complaints

House Republican leaders on Monday sidelined a controversial border security bill amid widespread disagreement among GOP lawmakers, making it the latest piece of legislation caught in an internal battle in the caucus.

No one believes the GOP weather excuse, not even their own Republican Members.  Everyone knows they're desperately trying to prioritize their own internal politics over the security of American families and appease the anti-immigrant wing of their Party rather than joining Democrats in working towards a bipartisan, common-sense solution.
