On Women’s Equality Day, It’s Time Unleash the Power of Women

On Women's Equality Day, as we celebrate the 94th anniversary of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote, House Democrats continue to fight for issues important to women.

Speaker Boehner and House Republicans are monkeying around – refusing to get serious about equal pay for equal work, workplace fairness, access to child care and paid sick leave and strengthening our nation's domestic violence laws.

As we celebrate the long strides and progress women have made on this day, we call on Speaker Boehner and the House GOP to work with Democrats to end the policies of the "Mad Men" era once and for all and unleash the full power and potential of women everywhere – because we know that when all women succeed, America succeeds.
