Speaker Pelosi. Good morning, everyone. Welcome back. I'm very, very proud of the House Democrats for the – how they presented the Rescue Plan to their constituents over this period of the Easter-Passover break, but also our committee work period in the past few weeks.
This plan is, as is described by its title, a rescue, but it can only rescue if people know how it meets their needs. So, over the – we had nearly 100 Teach-Ins last week across the country so that people could see how they could avail themselves of the benefits of the Rescue Plan, and that will – that continues.
Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi joined Chairwoman Rosa DeLauro, Chairwoman Patty Murray, Chairman Bobby Scott, Congresswoman Alma Adams, Congresswoman Norma Torres and Congresswoman Deborah Ross for a press conference ahead of the passage of H.R. 7, the Paycheck Fairness Act. This critical legislation strengthens the Equal Pay Act of 1963, helps eliminate the gender wage gap and guarantees that women can challenge pay discrimination and hold employers accountable. Thank you for quantifying what it means in terms of dollars and cents, as others have done this afternoon on the Floor and here now.
Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued this statement after the Biden Administration announced a new executive order and additional sanctions to hold Russia accountable:
"The tough new measures ordered by President Biden make clear that the United States will act firmly and forcefully to hold Russia accountable for its aggression against America and our allies.
"Under the Biden Administration, Moscow will face consequences for its destructive and destabilizing behavior – its interference in American elections, Russia's cyber hacking, including its SolarWinds attack on the U.S. government, and its incursions and occupation of sovereign territory, including Ukraine. Importantly, these measures further toughen our response.

With a vibrant culture and innovative economy, Israel has flourished in the face of enormous challenges and existential threats as an anchor of democracy in the seven decades since its founding.
