Thanksgiving is a beautiful, all-American holiday, when our nation gives thanks for the many blessings that have been bestowed upon our great country.
Tragically, this Thanksgiving comes at a time of immense heartbreak, as our nation mourns the deaths of over 250,000 Americans to the coronavirus. This vicious virus has torn through all our communities, and on this day in particular, we feel its devastating impacts, as many observe the holiday virtually, without the in-person comforting presence of family and friends.

President Trump’s pardoning of Michael Flynn, who twice pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his dealings with a foreign adversary, is an act of grave corruption and a brazen abuse of power. Trump is again using the pardon power to protect those who lie to cover up his wrongdoing, just as he did when he commuted the sentence of campaign advisor Roger Stone, who was convicted on seven felony counts.

They agreed that Congress needed to pass a bipartisan emergency aid package in the lame duck session, and that package should include resources to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, relief for working families and small businesses, support for state and local governments trying to keep frontline workers on the payroll, expanded Unemployment Insurance, and affordable health care for millions of families.
