Warsaw, Poland – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued this statement on the Congressional delegation's engagements in Poland and Ukraine:

"Our distinguished Congressional delegation came to Poland to send an unmistakable message to the world: that America stands firmly with our NATO allies in our support for Ukraine.

"As the Russian invasion of Ukraine rages on, our delegation continues our meetings with U.S. senior officials to be further briefed on the humanitarian tragedy caused by Putin. Throughout our meetings, we have discussed the importance of the U.S.-Polish partnership and the centrality of the NATO alliance in working to meet the urgent needs of Ukraine and to counter Russia's unlawful aggression.

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi released the following statement in recognition of Jewish American Heritage Month:

"Jewish American Heritage Month is an opportunity to recognize the innumerable contributions and unwavering resilience of Jewish families across our country. For generations, Jewish Americans have been an integral thread in the fabric of our nation – sharing a vibrant cultural tradition and moving us closer to realizing our founding ideals.

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement in recognition of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month:

"During Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Americans celebrate all that the AAPI community has done to shape our history, enrich our cultural tapestry and engage in our democracy. Generations of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have contributed their talents, energy and patriotism to advancing the American experiment. San Franciscans take great pride in being home to one of the country's largest and most vibrant AAPI populations, and we have long been strengthened by the blessing of this community's beautiful diversity and resilience.

Rzeszow, Poland - Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Members of a Congressional delegation issued this statement following their visit to Kyiv, Ukraine. This visit is the first official Congressional delegation to have visited Ukraine following Russia's invasion. The full delegation, which includes Chairman Jim McGovern, Chairman Gregory Meeks, Chairman Adam Schiff, Congresswoman Barbara Lee, Congressman Bill Keating and Congressman Jason Crow, will continue travel in southeast Poland and Warsaw.

"Our Congressional Delegation had the solemn opportunity and extraordinary honor of meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and other top Ukrainian officials in Kyiv.

Speaker Pelosi. Good afternoon, everyone.

It's with great emotion as well as pride that I welcome the Ambassador to what is the Speaker's Dining Room. We usually have pictures of California in here, this being the Speaker's Dining Room.

Today, we have something much more important than that. Because of the privilege granted to us by the Embassy, by Madam Ambassador – and again, what we saw in the presentation that the President of Ukraine made to the Congress, showing the photographs of brutality existing, that have existed in Ukraine and continue to proceed there.
