Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued this statement after the House voted on a bipartisan basis to hold Trump associate Steve Bannon in contempt for refusing to comply with a subpoena to provide information central to the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the Capitol:

"The Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the Capitol led the House, on a strong bipartisan basis, to honor its duty to pursue the truth of that dark day. Trump associate Steve Bannon has information central to this investigation and cannot be allowed to hide the truth.
