Washington, D.C. – Today, Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer and Assistant Democratic Leader James Clyburn sent a letter to Speaker Paul Ryan reiterating their request that he make a public statement regarding a scheduled vote on the bipartisan Hurd-Aguilar bill to protect DREAMers.

As Leader Pelosi, Whip Hoyer and Assistant Leader Clyburn write, "We are writing to again reiterate our request that you make a public statement regarding the scheduling of a vote on a DACA bill. Our request is that you publicly state that you will schedule a vote to consider the bipartisan Hurd-Aguilar bill and any other DACA bills that you wish to consider, under a Queen of the Hill rule.

Wednesday, intent on speaking about the young undocumented immigrants known as “Dreamers.” More than eight hours later, she finally stopped talking. Her marathon monologue — highly unusual for the House, which has no equivalent to the filibuster in the Senate — came as Republicans are scrambling to pass legislation to keep the government open. A short-term funding bill expires on Friday.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi offered a resolution on the House floor disapproving of Chairman Nunes’ irresponsible decision to release a deliberately altered, highly classified memo after it was voted on by the House Intelligence Committee.  The resolution also called for the release of House Intelligence Committee Democrats’ memo to set the record straight on House Republicans’ campaign to obstruct the Russia investigation.  After the Chair ruled the resolution was not privileged, the House voted 236 – 190 to appeal the ruling of the Chair.
