Last Thursday, House Democrats proudly put forth our Build Back Better legislation.  While it was a reduction in dollars from the original $3.5 trillion package, it was not a reduction in values. 

“For a generation, House Democrats have been fighting to deliver real drug price negotiations that will lower costs.  With today’s agreement on strong lower drug price provisions for the Build Back Better Act, Democrats have a path forward to make good on this transformational agenda for our seniors."

The Affordable Care Act is a pillar of health and financial security for families, delivering on Democrats’ promise that affordable health care is a right, not a privilege.

“Build Back Better will grow the economy without increasing inflation, because it is fully paid for.  As seventeen Nobel Prize-winning economists recently wrote in support of this legislation, ‘Because this agenda invests in long-term economic capacity and will enhance the ability of more Americans to participate productively in the economy, it will ease longer-term inflationary pressures.’"
