The American Medical Association (AMA) announced their support for the America's Affordable Health Choices Act saying the legislation will curb out-of-control costs, encourage competition among insurance plans to improve choices for patients, and provide access to quality, affordable health care for all Americans. A new USA TODAY/Gallup poll finds Americans support an solution for quality affordable health care. The survey's findings add new urgency to Congressional health care reform efforts.

The poll finds more than 8 in 10 of those surveyed say it's "extremely" or "very important" that the legislation make health insurance more affordable.
