Tonight, Barry Bonds etched his name into baseball's history books and took his rightful place among the sport's immortals.

It was a great night for baseball and a great night for San Francisco - the crowd went wild.

It was particularly exciting to see Willie Mays embrace him on the field and see Hank Aaron congratulate him on the Jumbotron.

As a season ticket holder, I am particularly glad it happened on the Giants' Italian night.

By a vote of 221-189, the House passed H.R. 2776, the Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Tax Act of 2007. The Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Tax Act of 2007 would accelerate the use of clean domestic renewable energy sources and alternative fuels. The bill provides longterm tax incentives encouraging the production of electricity from renewable energy - including energy derived from wind, solar, biomass, geothermal, river currents, ocean tides, landfill gas, and trash combustion resources.

By a vote of 220-190, the House has approved an amendment to HR 3221, the New Direction for Energy Independence, National Security, and Consumer Protection Act, by Reps. Udall (NM), Pallone, Van Hollen, Waxman, Udall (CO), Rodriguez, DeGette, and Platts requiring electric suppliers to produce 15 percent of their electricity using renewable energy resources, such as wind and solar, by the year 2020.
