Last night, on the 4th anniversary of the beginning of the Iraq War, Speaker Pelosi spoke on the House floor about the Democrats' plan for Iraq:

As noted earlier, today the House is debating a bill to speed up the repair and rebuilding of homes and affordable rental housing in areas affected by Katrina, Rita and Wilma, ensure continued rental assistance for both families that have moved back to their home areas and for families displaced by these hurricanes, and provide reimbursements to communities and landlords that were generous in providing assistance to hurricane evacuees in the aftermath of the storms.

Rep. Maxine Waters:

The hearing has now concluded, and two questions raised by Reps. Adam Schiff (CA-29) and Artur Davis (AL-07) remain unresolved. Rep. Schiff questioned Glenn A. Fine, the Justice Department inspector general, and FBI General Counsel Valerie Caproni on "blanket NSL's," which were apparently used in an attempt to "authorize many of the requests retroactively." He also questioned them on internal complaints about the process. Rep. Davis followed up Rep.

Today the House will debate the Gulf Coast Hurricane Housing Recovery Act of 2007, introduced by Rep. Maxine Waters (CA-35). When it passed out of the Financial Services Committee, the Committee's release described the bill:
