The President used the word ‘waste’ three times, at least, in his comment. I think it's a waste of time to even comment on what he said when he uses negative terms to describe anyone he wants to foist blame on instead of taking responsibility.

I thank our entire Caucus for their reports of the examples of goodness, the need for more support for our localities and states and the challenges that many small businesses are having accessing Paycheck Protection Program loans.

Well, first of all, let me say that the lives and the livelihood of the American people are, of course, of the highest priority. But you can't have one without the other. We have to move in a science-based, evidence-based way. Testing, testing, testing.

But before we move forward, we must get to the truth. The truth is that the response to this pandemic has not been as stellar as the President keeps repeating. The truth is there is much more we need to fix now to get it right.

While tens of thousands of Americans are dying from the coronavirus pandemic, the President is yet again seeking to unleash toxic pollution and dirty air into our communities.

It’s sad to be with you at this unbearably heartbreaking time for all Americans. Nearly 650,000 Americans have been diagnosed, more than 28,000 have tragically died, more than 22 million unemployment claims have been filed.
