Almost five months into the Trump Administration, House Republicans still haven’t met their most basic responsibility to pass a budget. The House GOP is now months behind the statutory budget deadline, deeply divided but unwilling to abandon their budget giveaways to the richest few.

Two years ago, nine innocent men and women were gunned down at Bible study in one of the nation’s oldest black congregations. The memory of this horrific act of racial hatred is made all the more painful by the other events of this week: the attack on Members of Congress in Virginia, the shooting that killed three people in San Francisco, and the one-year remembrance of the Pulse shooting that killed 49 people in Orlando.

Today, President Trump announced a job-killing Cuba policy that chokes off vital, growing commercial links between the U.S. and Cuba. This short-sighted decision is a disaster for American workers, destroying newly-created American jobs, freezing future business deals and hurting American farmers and agribusinesses who want to export to Cuba.
