Last week, Spencer Cox the Republican Governor of Utah, held a press conference begging his fellow Republicans to stop spreading anti-vaccine messaging, explaining that "it's literally killing their supporters." Unfortunately, Kevin McCarthy and House Republicans don't appear to care.
Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi joined Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House and Senate Democratic Policy and Communications Committee (DPCC) Chairs for a press event with moms helped by the Biden Child Tax Credit. Below are the Speaker's remarks:

Speaker Pelosi. Let the record show the date and the time that the Democratic Leader of the Senate was here before the rest of us. Thank you, Mr. Leader, for honoring us with your presence, on time, and for returning to the House side. I'm pleased to welcome you and Senator Stabenow back over to the House. We were always so proud of your service here, and we're proud of your leadership in the United States Senate. And also pleased to welcome Senator Booker to the House – where did he go? – to the House.

Yesterday, the first monthly payments of the Biden Child Tax Credit were sent out and front pages across the country are highlighting the tax credit's immediate impact for American families. The Biden Child Tax Credit, secured by House Democrats in the American Rescue Plan, will help continue the historic economic recovery and achieve a transformative reduction in child poverty.
San Francisco – Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Members of the Congressional delegation she will lead to San Diego for the Christening Ceremony for the USNS John Lewis. The program will honor the late Congressman John Lewis of Georgia and will take place on July 17, 2021, one year after the Congressman's passing.
