Upon unveiling the Ryan-McConnell tax framework, Republicans would have you believe that their plan exclusively benefits the middle class.  However, on this morning’s Sunday Shows both Speaker Paul Ryan and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin could not promise that their plan gives tax relief for working Americans – because it won’t.

This month, House Democrats kept the drum beating on their bold economic agenda A Better Deal: Better Jobs, Better Wages, Better Future by introducing two new planks to increase jobs for hard-working Americans.  Democrats proposed the Child Care for Working Families Act to offer affordable child care and early learning, as well as a universal high-speed internet initiative to increase accessibility in rural community. 

The long-awaited GOP tax framework was unveiled yesterday, and to no one’s surprise, nothing about the plan is actual ‘reform.’

Yesterday, President Trump and Congressional Republicans unveiled the Ryan-McConnell multi-trillion dollar giveaway to the wealthiest few.  They spent all day selling this sham plan as a “middle class miracle” – until the truth slipped out this morning.

In his big speech in Indiana, President Trump claimed the Ryan-McConnell tax ‘reform' plan is a ‘Middle Class miracle,' but in reality, nothing about the GOP proposal provides ‘historic tax relief' for hard-working Americans.
