From the Speaker's Press Office:
Minority Leader McCarthy came down harder on Congresswoman Liz Cheney than he did on a member of his conference being investigated for sex trafficking minors.
It's that type of leadership style that CNN reports is causing extremists in his caucus to "feel more emboldened" as they trivialize the holocaust, socialize with white nationalists, and attack the police officers who protected them from violent insurrectionists.
From the Speaker's Press Office:
Twice-impeached Florida retiree – and de facto leader of the Republican Party – Donald Trump joined House Republicans today in disrespecting the Capitol Police and other law enforcement officers, who valiantly defended the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, decrying how rioters "are being treated unbelievably unfairly" now that they are facing legal consequences for their actions.
From the Speaker's Press Office:
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell tried out a new message strategy this week: telling the truth. While speaking in Kentucky, McConnell admitted that the extensive COVID recovery funds benefitting Kentuckians are entirely the work of Democrats:
"[The American Rescue Plan] passed on a straight party-line vote. Not a single member of my party voted for it," McConnell said. He continued, "So you're going to get a lot more money. I didn't vote for it, but you're going to get a lot more money."

The Biden-Pelosi economy is booming. President Biden and Democrats in Congress have lowered taxes for middle class families, created more than 3 million jobs and increased wages for workers.

From the Speaker's Press Office:
Minority Leader McCarthy dodged, disrespected and denied Officer Michael Fanone most of the reasonable asks the hero officer made of him. Now, as he urges his members to vote against the January 6th Committee, McCarthy is breaking the one promise he did make to Officers Fanone, Dunn and the family of Officer Sicknick: that he would take the Committee ‘seriously.'
And he'll have to break his promise with January 6th heroes in attendance for the vote.
From the Speaker's Press Office:
Two days after Fox News' Chris Wallace called out House Republicans for voting to defund the police by voting against the American Rescue Plan, House Republicans took another vote to rip away funding local governments are using to pay police officers.
Today, House Republicans on the Appropriations Committee voted unanimously to rescind Rescue Plan relief local governments are counting on to pay local law enforcement officers.
From the Speaker's Press Office:
House Republicans voted against the American Rescue Plan's billions in funding available to keep police officers on the street – and Fox News is asking tough questions about it.
From Speaker Pelosi's Press Office:
Kevin McCarthy and his staff were ‘disrespectful,' ‘dismissive,' and ‘rude' to Michael Fanone, a DC Metropolitan Police Officer who has repeatedly attempted to meet with the Minority Leader to discuss the horrors he experienced while defending the Capitol on January 6th.
Despite claiming to ‘Back the Blue,' McCarthy and his Conference have made a habit of disrespecting the officers who protected them from January's insurrection.
