"The Holy Month of Ramadan is a sacred time for peaceful study and contemplation, an opportunity for spiritual renewal and a call for leading lives of greater compassion and generosity.  This month is also a special occasion of joy, festivity and celebration with loved ones.

"Ramadan reminds us of the rich diversity of our nation, and of the many contributions that Muslims have made to our country as public servants, members of our Armed Services, scholars, artists, athletes and engaged citizens.  This month recalls our founding creed – ‘E Pluribus Unum' – and reaffirms the fundamental truth that in our nation's diversity, we find strength.

"Each Memorial Day, we pause to remember the men and women who answered the call to serve and made the ultimate sacrifice for their nation.  Their service is a testament to our highest American ideals; their sacrifice is a solemn reminder that our nation's freedom and security are safeguarded by those willing to risk all for country, both in wartime and in peace.

Leader Pelosi.  Good morning.  Good morning.  So much happening in the world.  Some of it so very, very sad.

The poor children in Manchester.  We have to keep praying, if they will allow us to pray for them.

So, yesterday, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) confirmed what we all knew, but they made clear that many Americans with preexisting conditions would face soaring costs and frightening limits on the care they need.  Some people with preexisting conditions, many of them, would no longer be able to afford coverage of any kind.
