Earlier today at an anti-immigrant press conference alongside extreme far-right Members of the Tea Party, Canadian-born Senator Cruz made a bold, yet dangerous ultimatum to the continuing resolution: attach language terminating the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) – hinting, yet again, a Republican Government Shutdown.  From The Hill:

Of course, Boehner also said it could happen in 2013, and in 2014, and more than anyone else, he was responsible for killing the chance of Congress passing legislation both times.

Great news for the Affordable Care Act: a new study by the Kaiser Family Foundation finds that premiums in the Marketplaces for the  plan on which tax credits are based – the second-lowest cost silver plan in each market – will drop by an average of 0.8 percent in 2015, based on a survey of the 2015 rates in major cities in 15 different states across the country.

Speaker Boehner had this to say about immigration reform yesterday during an interview with the Hugh Hewitt radio show:

…you know, there's a possibility that Congress could take this issue up next year.
