Madam Speaker, thank you for joining us this morning. Congratulations on the outcome on Tuesday. I know there's still a lot of votes to be counted and, anyway, we have a lot of news to get to.

But before we get to that, I just wanted to ask, how is your husband, Paul, doing?

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued this statement on the election result in Arizona's 2nd Congressional District:

"Congressman Tom O'Halleran has earned a well-deserved reputation for making difficult, values-based decisions, even in the face of daunting political consequences. His courage and commitment have won the respect of Members on both sides of the aisle, and his leadership will be missed by his colleagues in the Congress.

Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued this statement after the Congressional delegation concluded its participation in the United Nations Climate Change Conference ("COP27"):

"Today, our Congressional delegation concluded a productive visit to COP27, where we delivered an unmistakable message: America is all in to fight the climate crisis.

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi released the following statement commemorating Veterans Day:

"Each year, Veterans Day brings our nation together in gratitude for the patriotism, courage and selfless service of our military heroes. Throughout our history, generations of brave Americans have proudly donned the uniform to defend the liberties we all hold dear – fighting valiantly for Democracy in our nation and throughout the world.

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, an armistice brought an end to the Great War. One year later, President Wilson proclaimed the first national commemoration of Armistice Day, with parades and public celebrations recognizing millions of American heroes of World War I. In 1938, the Congress enshrined Armistice Day as a federal holiday – "a day to be dedicated to the cause of world peace" – and in 1954, the Congress renamed the holiday "Veterans Day" to honor all those who have served our nation in uniform.

Washington, D.C. – Drew Hammill, spokesman for Speaker Nancy Pelosi, issued this statement on Minority Leader McCarthy's letter regarding the reopening of the United States Capitol Complex:

"The Minority Leader's incoherent letter is nothing more than a desperate attempt to distract from the unmitigated disaster that was his party's performance in the midterm election – one that only looks worse as ballots continue to get counted," Hammill said. "Now, after bungling the election, the Minority Leader would rather intimidate the professionals who run the House than get to work on the issues that voters just told us are on their minds."
