Dear Democratic Colleague,
This morning, on a day marking six years since the tragic Pulse shooting, a bipartisan group of Senators announced a new framework for gun violence prevention legislation.
This framework is a step forward For The Children. While more is needed, this package will take steps to save lives.
After the announcement, Leader Schumer said: "Once the text of this agreement is finalized, I will put this bill on the floor as soon as possible so that the Senate can act quickly to advance gun-safety legislation."
Because of the intense interest in our Caucus on addressing gun violence, I wanted to make you aware of these developments. More updates to come as the agreement is written into legislation.
Thank you for your leadership to protect our kids.
Sincerely,
NANCY
