San Francisco – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement on the April jobs report, which showed that the U.S. created 428,000 jobs last month:
"As April's expectations-beating jobs report makes even clearer, Democrats' economic plan has powered record-setting jobs creation — the strongest job growth in modern times. Thanks largely to the American Rescue Plan, Americans are getting back to work in record numbers under the Biden Administration: with 8.3 million new jobs created, unemployment plummeting to 3.6 percent and wages on the rise.
