Speaker Pelosi. It's been a pretty interesting day. An historic one as a matter of fact.
A day in which the former Special Counsel affirmed, in public, what the Mueller report put forth.
It is a crossing of a threshold in terms of the public awareness of what happened and how it confirms to the law, or not.
Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued this statement after President Trump vetoed bipartisan, bicameral legislation to block the President's transfer of weapons of war to Saudi Arabia and the UAE:
"The President's shameful veto tramples over the will of the bipartisan, bicameral Congress and perpetuates his Administration's involvement in the horrific conflict in Yemen, which is a stain on the conscience of the world.
"It is stunning that the President has chosen to not only turn a blind eye to Saudi Arabia's horrific abuses, including the atrocity of Jamal Khashoggi's murder, but to go further and allow the sale of more arms that will be used to perpetrate more human rights abuses around the world.

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued this statement following passage in the House of the Promoting Respect for Individuals' Dignity and Equality (PRIDE) Act, which amends the Internal Revenue Code to provide for equal treatment of same-sex married couples by removing gendered terminology in the tax code and permitting couples to amend their filing status to married filing jointly for tax returns outside of the statute of limitations:
"Discrimination has no place in our society or in our laws. In passing the PRIDE Act, Democrats are honoring our diversity and providing long-overdue justice to countless same-sex couples across the country who have been denied critical tax refunds because of who they are and who they love.

On this busy day in the Capitol, it is a source of joy for all of us to come together to sign the enrollment of the 9/11 legislation. It is – 9/11 was a day that caused pain in our country that we never could have imagined, but we witnessed heroism that we will never forget.
On that day of horror, our brave first responders were there for America. Now, with the Never Forget The Heroes Act, the Congress is there for them.
