"Elections have ramifications, and here is a living, breathing example of it," Pelosi said Tuesday night during a CNN town hall moderated by Jake Tapper.
Pelosi cited Gorsuch's rulings on health care, gun safety and environmental issues to explain her concerns. She said Senate Democrats -- who only have 48 seats and have not yet determined whether to attempt to block Gorsuch's nomination -- should apply the "strongest scrutiny."
But Pelosi did not say whether Democrats should filibuster Gorsuch, a move some in the party would rather use for a future nominee who could change the court's balance of power.
"The most important test before the President's nominee to the Supreme Court is whether they will honor the Constitution of the United States. If confirmed, President Trump's choice will have a deep and indelible impact on the quality of justice in our country and the rights of the American people.
Women and their families marched to show our values, our unity and our good spirit.
Many marched for the rights and dignity of the men, women and children who have been targeted for discrimination by this administration -- and in recent days we've seen that open prejudice on full display in the President's immoral and unconstitutional ban on refugees and citizens from seven Muslim nations.
Many marched to protect the health care of the American people, which sadly, is also under attack by the President and the Republican Congress today.

"President Trump's executive order violates the Constitution, dishonors our values, and weakens the security of the United States. National security experts are warning that the President's ban will make it harder, not easier to defeat terror.
"Good evening, everyone. I'm very proud to stand here with the Members of the House Democratic Caucus – soon to be joined by the Senate Democrats, as well – sharing views in a bipartisan way with many of our Republican colleagues who agree that what the President did undermines our values. And it's not in support of the oath of office that we take, to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Dear Democratic Colleague,
President Trump's unconstitutional executive order banning refugees and the citizens of Muslim nations betrays everything the Statue of Liberty and our nation stand for. The President's action is not only unconstitutional but immoral. As Pope Francis said, "It's hypocrisy to call yourself a Christian and chase away a refugee or someone seeking help."
At the same time, we have been moved and inspired by the scenes of Americans, including Members of our Caucus, rallying to airports across the nation to demand justice for the men, women and children detained and/or deported under the President's order. We continue press for answers and demand that the federal court injunction issued last night be honored.
"The injunction against President Trump's Executive Order must be immediately enforced nationwide to prevent further harm from his immoral and unconstitutional ban on Muslims.
"I support the efforts of the ACLU and others to challenge this order on Constitutional grounds, and call on the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection to respect the district court's nationwide injunction prohibiting the U.S. government from removing lawful permanent residents and nonimmigrants who are returning home to the United States.

"As the Statue of Liberty holds her torch of welcome high, there are tears in her eyes as she sees how low this Administration has stooped in its callousness toward mothers and children escaping war-torn Syria. This Administration has mistaken cruelty for strength and prejudice for strategy.
