Leader Pelosi. Good morning, everyone. I think we could all agree that few people have a more intimate understanding of the stakes of the healthcare debate and people's lives than America's nurses.

“With today’s sweeping and constitutionally suspect executive actions, the President is turning his back on both our history and our values as a proud nation of immigrants. Wasting billions of taxpayer dollars on a border wall Mexico will never pay for, and punishing cities that do not want their local police forces forced to serve as President Trump’s deportation dragnet does nothing to fix our immigration system or keep Americans safe.

“Days after the anniversary of Roe v. Wade and after millions of women marched to have their voices heard, House Republicans are continuing their dangerous crusade to put the government in charge of women’s bodies and put bureaucrats in charge of families’ private health decisions.

“The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is a premiere venue for America’s performing arts and stands as a living memorial to President Kennedy,” House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said.

“Education is the greatest investment our nation can make in our future to expand opportunity, create good-paying jobs, and strengthen American innovation,” House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said. “House Democrats will be strong champions of students, workers, and small business owners in our work to put the people’s interests before the special interests.
